I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Holiday with your friends and family.. Now that Christmas is over the sales begin and lets get real, they are so hard to pass up. As if we spent enough around Christmas right? Not lol...
I have rounded up some cute sale items that are going to be going in my shopping cart. I am totally obsessing over the pink luggage and passport holder and swooning over those leopard booties..
Can you believe 2018 is just around the corner and Christmas is less than a week away? It's crazy how time really does fly by. It is never too late to start thinking about New Years Eve parties and what you will be wearing. I always start to think about what I will be wearing a few weeks before so that I can make sure my items arrive on time without any stress.
I have rounded up some cute options that I am thinking about adding to my shopping cart...
I have been getting a lot of questions on Instagram on what I have been wearing for my makeup lately. Ever since the Sephora sale a few weeks ago, I went out and treated myself to some products that I have definitely been eyeing.. It was a great time to splurge and stock up on some favourite products and making room for new products.
The one picture that you asked the most about was this picture:
Which brings me to the title of this post.
I have started to use Becca Cosmetics and have been using some of their products for a few weeks now. I have been on the hunt for a good bronzer, highlighter and a face primer. I had always used Nars Laguna Bronzer and Hourglass Lighting Powder which I both love and they are such popular products but I get bored of the same old stuff and like to venture out and try new products.
These are the three products that I have changed in my makeup routine and the three products that you have been noticing.
If you are looking for a face primer that works amazing and still gives your skin luminosity then this product will be your next best friend. It keeps my makeup in place all day and night and my skin just glows with a natural radiance. It is non drying, it even outs your skin tone and it is infused with three filtering luminescent pearls that gives your skin that healthy glow within.
The quality of Becca's bronzers and pressed highlighters is nothing that I have used or experienced before. The buttery soft texture is so impressive and the products just glide onto your skin beautifully.. Ah, I am obsessed you guys. I went with Capri Coast for the bronzer which is the second lightest shade in their line. I am pretty fair but this bronzer is perfect for warming up the skin or for contouring. There is very little shimmer (I mean, very little) that gives such a pretty finish. I am not a fan of super matte bronzers which is why this one is my new go to.
For the highlighter I went with the shade "Moonstone." I know everyone and their sisters rave about the shade "Champagne Pop" which I love and is such a pretty shade of highlighter but for this time of year it is just too pigmented on my skin. I would most likely use that shade if I was self tanning on a regular basis or for the summer months. Moonstone on the other hand is a pretty pale gold and looks natural on my skin this time of year.
Now, the secret is out!
I am pretty confident that you will love these three products as much as I do..
{This post was not sponsored. My thoughts and opinions are my own}.
Hope everyone is getting their Christmas shopping done. I still have a few things to get and then I can finally start wrapping. I have rounded up some items for home gift ideas that I think everyone will love or could use at any time of year.
Who doesn't love a good sale? All of these items are currently 40% off the regular price until November 26th. It's a good way to take advantage and get some of your holiday shopping done or even snagging a few cute items for yourselves. I mean, that is what I plan on doing lol.
You know when you get a new pair of shoes you just want to wear them everywhere? Ok, so these booties just arrived at my doorstep last week and I haven't been able to take them off. I wanted a taller bootie, especially when worn with a cute winter dress or skirt but I find it's nice to have a mix of shorter and taller boots to choose from..
This cardigan is also on repeat. I am a bit shorter, so this cardigan definitely hangs longer on me but I would size down as it runs a bit big!
I am finally starting to think about Christmas and all the gifts that I need to get. I always make a list every year with everyone's name and "point form" ideas beside each name to help me organize and decided what I want to get everyone. A lot of the times I find it hard to think about what I can get everyone and what they "don't have" is the hardest part. This is why I like to create collage ideas for all of you to give you some ideas that you can get your friends and family or even treating yourself.
Fall is finally here and I am trying to soak up all the prettiness before the snow starts to fall. I love this time of year for wearing chunky knits, booties and drinking my favourite latte. I mean, who is with me?
I love how oversized and chunky this sweater is and it's super warm so you can wear this sweater on it's own even on those really cold days. These jeans have the perfect amount of stretch to keep you comfortable all day long and these booties have been on major repeat and fit true to size.
Today I thought I would share some pillows that I am dying to get to vamp up my house for fall and winter. It's always nice to change up your decor and to keep things fresh and updated with each season. The great thing about changing up some of your decor is that it's an easy and quick way of spicing up a space without spending too much money. Changing up your pillows and throw blankets can really change a room dramatically with a snap of a finger.
{This is a picture of how I have placed my pillows in my bedroom. This "Great Outdoor Pillow" was once in my living room but I thought it would be a cozier feel having it in the bedroom when the colder months approach}. I got my chair reupholstered but the chair linked below this picture is the same style.

I am totally one of those people that is constantly changing things around. I never like things in the same spot for too long. I am either adding pillows or removing pillows, changing my throw blankets or rearranging my decorative accents. I love change and it keeps me happy.
First off, I have linked 3 different sized pillow inserts to get you started. If you already have pillows like these for the appropriate sizes of the below covers, than you are already on the right track.

Besides summer, fall is my second favourite season out of the year. So many cute options and outfits to wear that we wait all year for. This dress is seriously my go to dress this season. I have been looking for a plaid dress and I scored this one for under $40.
There are so many ways you can wear this dress. You can pair it with a faux fur vest, faux leather jacket, a cardigan or even with leggings.
Over the years, I have been using coconut oil for a lot of my go to beauty routines. I never thought that I would be resorting to one product that would meet a lot of needs in just one jar. It's 100% natural, free from chemicals, it's antibacterial and loaded with vitamins.
1. Hair Mask
It all started when the health of my hair was at it's worse. I was so desperate that I was trying every deep conditioner there was but it just wasn't cutting it. Coconut oil was my last resort and boy did I wish I had used it sooner. If you have been following me for some time you would know that I had went brunette (always being a blonde) and just couldn't get over the fact that every time I looked into the mirror, I never recognized myself. With that being said, I went back to the hair salon and had blonde put back in and that's when my hair went for the worst. My hair was super dry and my hair was breaking like you wouldn't believe. That's when I started to use coconut oil in my hair on a weekly basis for two months and my hair was 70% better than it was when I had first started. Now it's been five years and my hair is back blonde and healthy again. Amen!
{Apply it to dry or damp hair, put your hair in a top knot and go to bed or put your hair in this satin beanie so that the heat from your head will help the oil to penetrate better into your hair follicles. This will also help to keep your pillow case oil free}. Now that my hair is healthier, I still like to do a hair mask once or twice a week...
2. Make-up Remover
I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup (specifically mascara) almost every night whenever I am not using a different type of makeup remover. It is extremely gentle on the eyes and the mascara just melts off your lashes. Don't worry if you can't get all the oil off when you are done, rumour has it that coconut oil helps with lash growth.
{Apply a small amount to each eye. With your eyes closed, gently swipe downward and work the oil into the lash line while swiping it out to the tips of your lashes. Cleanse face when finished}
3. Face Mask
Using coconut oil as a face mask is one of my favourite things to do in my beauty routine at least once a week. Coconut oil is more hydrating than most moisturizers on the market and not to mention, it has a natural antibacterial and anti fungal benefits to it which will help with breakouts.
{After cleansing and toning your face, apply a thin layer all over your face, including around the eyes and lips. Leave it and go to bed. If you are not one to go to bed with a mask on your face then leave it on as long as you can before rinsing it off}.
4. Nails/Hands
Another favourite way to use coconut oil is using it on my hands, nails and cuticles. When my hands are at it's driest, especially during the winter months, I treat my hands in coconut oil and put silk gloves on afterwards for better absorption. I wear these gloves to bed or when I am lounging around the house and don't want to transfer the oils onto furniture and clothing.
