TOP 6 EYE CREAMS

It doesn't matter how old you are, eye cream is very important in keeping the skin around your eyes hydrated and to prevent pre-mature wrinkles and fine lines. My mom has always taught me at an early age how important it is to take care of my skin, especially around the eyes. She had me start using eye cream when I was just starting High School and I am so glad she did.

I have tried many eye creams to find the one that works best for me but I also like venturing out and trying different brands to see what they deliver.

The following eye creams listed below are eye creams that I have tried and loved.

Clinique All About Eyes
This cream is great to combat dark circles, puffiness and adds brightness around the eyes

Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream
This cream is great if you have tired looking eyes and it is really hydrating also

Origins Refreshing Eye Cream
This is another eye cream that de-puffs and helps with dark circles. I really liked this eye cream and I always tend to go back to this one

Algenist Ultimate Anti-Aging Eye Cream
This is a rich hydrating eye cream that delivers a lot of moisture and helps minimize fine lines

Kiehl's Cream Eye Treatment in Avocado
This is a creamy/ velvety texture. This cream is very hydrating but it doesn't leave your under eyes greasy which is great for day time when you want to put your under eye concealer on

Buy Here

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye Cream
This eye cream is best used before bed and it makes your eyes look amazing in the morning. It helps to minimize fine lines/ wrinkles, it's moisturizing, reduces puffiness and illuminates your under eyes. This one is definitely one of my favorites, especially if you want a rich cream before bed.
You can almost feel this cream working!

BEST BLUSH COLOURS FOR YOUR SKIN TONE

When it comes to blushes, we all tend to buy a variety of colours to go with certain makeup looks and colours that flatter our complexions during all four seasons of the year. Obviously, having a variety of colours in our makeup collection is completely fine and the more options we have the better, but there are certain blush colours that we should have in our collection that is targeted to our "specific skin tone."

The following blush colours below is a guide for the best colours for your specific skin tone.

FAIR SKIN
 Soft Pink
This compliments fair skin the best as it gives a subtle natural flush colour to the cheeks

FAIR SKIN
Peach
Peach is the most universally flattering colour that any skin tone can pull off, even fair skin

FAIR SKIN
Soft Plum
This colour looks gorgeous on fair skin and you don't want to go overboard with this colour. Go with a lighter hand with this blush and you will have a beautiful soft plum look

MEDIUM SKIN
Soft Berry
Picking a light berry shade looks really pretty and compliments medium skin tones without it looking unnatural

MEDIUM SKIN
Mauve
This tone gives depth to the cheeks and is a perfect tone for an evening night out

MEDIUM SKIN
Coral/ Apricot
As many medium skin tones have naturally warmth to their skin, choosing a coral/ apricot shade will enhance warmness and give the perfect fresh flush

OLIVE SKIN
 Rose
Rose is a great cheek enhancement that isn't too bright or too sheer for olive skin

OLIVE SKIN
Bronze
This shade adds warmth and some brightness to the cheeks and this colour can also be used as a light contour. This bronze colour will look beautiful and natural on olive skin tones and helps pick up their natural skin tone

DARK SKIN
Brick
Staying in the warm tones is key with darker skin because if you go too cool than it can look too ashy. Brick is a redder version of raisin (which is the next blush I mention below). The brick tone adds more pow to the cheeks and this colour is also great for contouring as well

DARK SKIN
Raisin
Raisin colour blushes is another blush that looks amazing on darker skin tones

DARK SKIN
Bright Orange
Orange is the best colour for darker skin to achieve that perfect flush and trust me, this looks so pretty on

Sometimes we all need a little guidance on what colours go best with our skin tones. I hope this post helped and inspired you to go try some blush colours that you wouldn't think of buying before.

MAKE UP FOR EVER SMOKY EXTRAVAGANT MASCARA

Okay, so who hates when mascara's clump, hard to remove, flakes and creates raccoon eyes? Probably, every girl ever, right? Us girls love our mascara's and that is one thing that I am sure we all absolutely hate in some mascara brands. I mean, I don't want to have to keep checking in the mirror every 20 minutes to make sure that I don't look like a raccoon. Annoying!

I recently received a sample of this Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara from Sephora and I totally wanted to do a review on this holy grail mascara for all of you.

This mascara is absolutely amazing and I don't normally say this too often about mascara's. I mean, I have tried so many that I have hated and some that I didn't mind but I have never found one that I really LOVED until I tried the Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant mascara.

This baby is clump free, absolutely NO FLAKES {bye bye raccoon eyes}, it stays on all day, gives amazing volume, even when you just add one coat. I like to add two coats with this mascara for extra volume but honestly, you don't have to. It separates your lashes perfectly and with the precision tip, it flares out those side lashes that sometimes get neglected with other mascara brushes. This mascara brush definitely gives a nice finished cat eye look.

This mascara is a little pricey but in my opinion, if I am going to be at work, at a wedding or somewhere for a long period of time before I get home, I want a mascara that is going to last all day, especially FLAKE FREE!

Give this mascara a try ladies, you will see why I love it so much, xo!

JOSIE MARAN PURE ARGAN MILK REVIEW

Today's beauty review is on the new Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk- Intensive Hydrating Treatment. Since I raved and told you guys how much I loved the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil Light, I knew that I had to try the all new Pure Argan Milk and incorporate this product into my daily beauty routine.

This Pure Argan Milk- Intensive Hydrating Treatment just came out a few weeks ago at my local Sephora and I was immediately drawn to it as soon as I had set my eyes on it. I had read the package and talked to the beauty consultant about it and went home that night and did a little research on it before I bought it. I had watched the Josie Maran video on it and it definitely made me more excited about the product that I went out the next day and bought it.

This Pure Argan Milk is 100% natural and pure, just like her regular and light Argan Oil's. It has powerful antiaging benefits, it's lightweight, very intensive and it absorbs right into the skin leaving your face with a healthy glow. It has a blend of microdroplets of 100% pure Argan Oil infused in purified water, allowing the skin to be deeply nourished and hydrated.

The Argan Milk is made up of two important ingredients for skin health. The purified water is to hydrate and plump skin cells, restoring the skin's healthy cushion and the microdroplets of 100% Argan Oil is to feed and preserve skin cells, locking in hydration and protecting the skin from UV, toxins, stress and the environment.

I have been using the Pure Argan Milk- Intensive Hydrating Treatment for a few weeks now and once again I am absolutely in love with this product. Josie Maran has done it again and she seriously knows what she is doing when it comes to her oils.

The Pure Argan Milk works hand in hand with the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil, whether it's the regular oil or the light oil. You can just use the Pure Argan Milk alone and use that as your daily {morning and night} moisturizer or you can use it hand in hand with the 100% Argan Oil which is what Josie Maran recommends.

I also love that the Pure Argan Milk and her 100% Argan Oil's are formulated without:
Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates. When I am looking for products, I always make sure that these three ingredients are not in the product that I am buying and with her products not having these harmful ingredients, makes these two products a win in my books.

How I Apply It:

Morning:

Once I have washed and toned my face, I will apply 4-5 drops of the Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk to the palm of my hand {lightly pressing my two palms together, warming up the milk in my hand} and then I lightly press my hands onto my face, dabbing the milk all over my face, under my eyes, neck and décolleté. Once I have done that, I will let that sit on my face for a few minutes to soak in before applying my foundation/ tinted moisturizer and any other makeup.

Depending on how dry your face is, I would recommend applying the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil after you have applied the milk for extra hydration.

Night:

Once I have washed and toned my face, I will apply 5 drops of the Pure Argan Milk to the palm of my hand {lightly pressing my two palms together, warming the milk up in my hand} and then I lightly press my hands onto my face, dabbing the milk all over my face, under my eyes, neck and décolleté. I will then add 5 drops of the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil Light to the palm of my hand again, and lightly dab that all over my face, under my eyes, neck and décolleté.

I like the "Light" formulation better than the regular because it's a little less greasy and it absorbs quicker into my skin, leaving my skin a little more matte but also leaving my skin with a beautiful dewy glow that I absolutely love. The "light" formulation does the exact same as the regular oil but again, it just leaves your face less greasy.

I am really happy that Josie Maran came out with this product and it has seriously changed my beauty routine for the better. My face always looks amazing when I only used the 100% Argan Oil but now that I have incorporated the milk along with the oil, my skin has really improved that much more and what a difference my makeup looks as well. I can't even explain to you on how my face looks and feels, it's amazing how these two products together has changed my skin.

Another plus with these two products is that it doesn't make me breakout at all and I have very sensitive, acne prone skin. It's such a relief knowing that I finally found a beauty routine that works!

THE BEAUTY BLENDER

I am not one to really use brushes or sponges to apply my foundation or tinted moisturizer. I had heard a lot of great reviews and thoughts on this pretty pink sponge that I had to give it a try.

I was in Sephora a few weeks back looking for a new foundation/ tinted moisturizer as I am getting low on my Origins VitaZing and ended up getting a bunch of different samples to try {will be doing a post on this soon}. The beauty consultant that was helping me asked what I normally use to apply my foundation and I was embarrassed to say that I use nothing, just my fingers {CLEAN fingers I might add}. She asked if I had ever tried the "Beauty Blender" and of course I said no but heard it was amazing. Well let's just say she pretty much sold me on the product.

How I use it:

I put a few dots of whatever I am using that day {foundation or tinted moisturizer} all over my face. I then wet the sponge so that's it's damp {not soaking wet} and I stipple {patting} the {bigger end of the sponge} all over my face so that the foundation is being blended into my skin. For those hard to reach areas as well as under my eyes, mouth, nose etc, I then use the pointed end to blend the foundation in those areas. If you usually apply your foundation with your fingers {like myself} you can also apply it with your fingers first and then go around your entire face afterwards with the beauty blender {dry or damp} to properly smooth out and refine the makeup for a polished look.

After every use, I always wash the sponge with baby shampoo. I know there is a special cleaner for the sponge as well called the Blender Cleanser but I prefer to use baby shampoo as that's what I already use on my makeup brushes.

I really love this sponge and how it gives a flawless finish to my face. I wish I would have purchased it a lot sooner than I did but it's better late then never right? I would definitely recommend this sponge to anyone and it's definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Have you ever used the Beauty Blender and what are your thoughts on it?

JOSIE MARAN 100% PURE ARGAN OIL LIGHT

Ok, I haven't done a beauty post in a really long time {I know, I am sorry}, so today I wanted to share and review a new love in my life. Yes, it's the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light.

Some of you have probably tried this oil before and maybe some of you haven't. If you have tried this oil, I am sure you will agree that this stuff is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.

About a month ago, I was looking for a new moisturizer for my face. I wanted to try something new and change things up a bit as I don't like to use a certain product for long periods of time. I was using this moisturizer which I love but since my face has been changing and getting a little more oily {even in the winter months} I wanted to try something that wasn't a "moisturizer." I have always heard great reviews on the Josie Maran Argan Oil and have always wanted to try it. Ok, so you are probably thinking, why would she use an oil on her face when her face is already oily? Yes, I thought that also and was a total sceptic. I went into my local Sephora and was talking to a beauty consultant about the Josie Maran Argan Oil and she was saying that she uses the regular Josie Maran Argan Oil and that she absolutely loves and swears by the product. She also has oily/combination skin.

I ended up getting a sample of the regular Josie Maran Argan Oil and used it for a few weeks. I did like it but I found that it was a little too heavy and I didn't like the feeling on my face as it was almost too greasy. I went back and got a sample of the "light" oil and this one was much better for my skin. The light oil is a lighter consistency and it also dries more matte on the face but also gives a little bit of a dewy look which I LOVE. I went back a week later and ended up getting the 0.5 oz {which is the smaller bottle to the 1.7 oz}.

I have been using the Josie Maran Argan Oil Light for over a month now and I can't believe the way my skin looks and feels. My face has never looked better and has never felt softer. Even when I am not wearing it on my face, my face still has a glow to it. This oil does not break me out, it actually helped clear up my acne as well as redness caused from past acne blemishes. This oil also reduces sebum production and is great for all skin tones, especially sensitive/ acne prone skin {which is me}. My skin also feels tighter and more hydrated.

How I apply it:

Morning:

After I have washed and toned my face, I add two drops to the entire face and whatever is left over on my fingers, I will then dap that around my eyes for extra hydration. I then follow my makeup routine afterwards. This oil is a great makeup base and when I apply my foundation {liquid or powder}, my face just looks flawless and dewy and so healthy looking. My boyfriend has also been commenting on how good my face has been looking as of late. Now, if your man notices and compliments you on your skin, then you know the product is a keeper.

Night:

After I have washed and toned my face, I put two drops on my index finger and I rub my two hands together and apply it all over my face. Once I have rubbed it all in, I then add one drop to my index finger again and I apply that around my eyes, focusing more on the outer corner of my eye {crows feet area} and a little under my eye and under my brow bone. Make sure that you don't get it too close to your lash line as it can get into your eyes.

Not only is this oil good for your face, it can also be used for your cuticles, hair, dry skin {hands, feet, elbows etc}. It's a multi purpose product and you definitely get your money's worth with this oil. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone and I am really glad that I found a product that actually doesn't make me breakout.

I hope you all found this post helpful and please let me know if you have any questions about the product or how I use it. Leave them in the comments below and I will definitely answer them as soon as I can..

Thank you so much for stopping by, xo!!
