BAREMINERALS BARESKIN PURE BRIGHTENING SERUM FOUNDATION

 For those of you that follow me on Instagram, I have posted a few "selfie" pictures in the past of me wearing the BareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation and I have also had some of you emailing me on what makeup I wear in general. I thought it would be a great idea to do a review on my current foundation and explain why I love it so much and how it changed my beauty routine forever.

I have always struggled with uneven skin tone, blemishes along my jaw line, my chin and the odd one on my neck which are all hormonal areas that tend to flare up once in a while. It didn't mater what foundation, tinted moisturizer, bb cream etc, nothing seemed to cover my unevenness, redness, blemishes until I started using the BareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20.

This foundation has seriously been a life saver and has changed my beauty routine for the better. It gives me the perfect amount of coverage to even out my skin tone, it covers any blemishes that I may have, it gives a nice natural finish to the skin without it being too shiny, hence "Brightening Serum" and it is super light weight on the skin. It is formulated without oil, silicone, parabens and fragrance and its formulated for all skin types and it is great for people who have sensitive skin.

It is also one of the first foundations that haven't made me breakout and I always get so many compliments on my skin when I am wearing it.

The great thing about this foundation is that it can be applied sheer or you can build it up and have more of a full coverage look. On those good skin days I use 2-3 drops and on those days when I need more coverage I will use about 4-5 drops.

Application:

SHAKE, DROP, BUFF
1. You want to make sure that you shake this foundation really well before applying it to the skin.
2. You then want to apply it with a dense foundation brush or BareMinerals has a special brush designed specifically for the application of this foundation which is called the Perfecting Face Brush. This brush has a fluid reservoir design that makes the application quick and easy while giving you a flawless airbrushed finish.
3. You then want to apply the foundation in a circular motion while buffing it into the skin. At this point, if you feel like you need more coverage, add a few more drops to the brush and repeat.

My Shade:
Bare Linen #03
{This is for light skin types with neutral undertones}
 This foundation also comes in 20 different shades and with options whether you have neutral, golden or cool undertones.

I highly recommend this foundation for anyone and if I can help and suggest a product to you that has helped me and improved my beauty routine then I am glad I did a review on this product and would love for you to come back and give me your feedback.

  1. Have you tried their Complexion Rescue? My sister is a makeup artist at BareMinerals and totally swears by it. I finally gave in and tried it and I'm in love with how well it evens my skintone and sets the perfect foundation for everything.

  4. I actually also use this foundation and I'm still on the fence about it. I always used Dermablend for max coverage, but my derm told me I was only allowed to use Bare Minerals from now on and it actually seems like it has been breaking me out. BUT, I definitely need to clean my brushes a bit more so that may be it. I'm going to use it for a few more weeks to see.
