ADDING COLOUR

Top- Old Navy {Sold Out} | Pants- American Eagle {Old} | Wedges- Reitmans | Clutch- Aldo | Watch- Guess | Necklace- ILY

Happy Monday!

Who say's you can't wear white after Labor day? I don't care what the rule is, I usually wear white pants up until October, depending on the weather of course. I love to wear basic/neutral colours such as black and white, but adding some colour to the look, whether it's accessories or nail colour, really amps up any outfit. I have been OBSESSED with red nails and I am really loving Essie's Fifth Avenue, it's the perfect red and you only need one coat of polish, bonus!!

Do you like to add colour to a basic outfit or do you keep it neutral?

Have a great week and thank you so much for reading, xo!!

  4. Love the white pants! They are on my wish list for next spring/summer :) and that clutch is so cute too! I am such a neutral girl - it's hard for me to add bright colors to my wardrobe - my bf jokes that my entire closet is black, white, gray, and tan haha ;) ...but the bright nails are a great idea! Start small right?

  10. I really like black & white outfits, but they are even more awesome when a little pop color is splashed in, like your necklace! Great outfit, Ashley! :)

  22. I agree, I completely disregard this silly white rule. In fact, I really love to wear white jeans in the dead of winter with a big chunky cardi or a winter white cable knit sweater.
You look fabulous, Ashley! I love white jeans with a black top...and that necklace is fabulous.

  28. A statement necklace is one of my favorite ways to add color to an otherwise neutral outfit. I am really into black jeans with a black top and bold necklace for a night out on the town lately!

  32. I think it is perfectly acceptable to wear white any time of year! Once it becomes winter, then white is winter white (I know it is typically a little off white, but who really cares). Ever since it became September I have been sporting red nails too. It feels more fall-ish!
