CHEVRON

Top- American Eagle {Clearance/ Sold Out} | Shorts- Dynamite {Sold Out} | Belt- H&M | Wedges- Reitmans {Old} | Sunglasses- Ray Bans | Nails- Essie Cute As A Button

Happy Friday Everyone!

Chevron has become one of my favorite prints other than stripes. I love the edgy yet classy feel that the print gives and it makes any casual outfit pop. When I saw this chevron blouse on clearance at American Eagle, I honestly couldn't believe it. I had been looking for a chevron print blouse for a long time and since this was on clearance and only one size left {being my size}, it was totally meant to be. I am looking forward to transitioning this chevron blouse into fall and winter and adding a jacket over top and wearing some skinnies. This print will definitely be a stable piece in my wardrobe.

I will be doing another outfit post on a different way to style this chevron blouse coming up soon, so stay tuned!

What prints will you be transitioning into fall and winter?
Have an amazing Labor Day long weekend and thank you so much for reading, xo!!

LOOK YOUNGER WITH MAKEUP

With the right makeup tips, you can easily turn back the clock and look younger!

Moisturize
This is so obvious but it's worth repeating because all the other steps are worthless if you don't do this one first. Before you even think of applying any makeup and with your face still a little damp from cleansing, apply your moisturizer. "The more hydrated your skin, the younger it looks."

Choose Liquid Concealer
As we age there is more to conceal but concealer can draw attention to fine lines. You want a product that hides redness and dark circles without getting cakey, which means a liquid concealer is key, preferably in a pen form. Anything that comes in a pan has a wax base and will look waxy on the skin.  "A click-pen formula covers just as well and doesn't seep into lines."

Buy a Yellow{ish} Foundation
Not banana yellow, just yellowish. Yellow warms up the skin and the warmer your skin looks, the younger it looks.

Skip Tinted Face Powder
If you feel naked without powder then use a translucent, light diffusing powder to set your base.

Show Off Your Bone Structure
Apply your blush to the highest points of your cheekbones. It makes your bone structure stand out.

Tweeze or Wax Your Brows, But Only If You Absolutely Have To
Tweezing or waxing a lot, won't reshape anything, it'll just make your brows thinner. If you tweeze at all, then only tweeze the most obvious hairs. If you need more shaping, then go to a professional.

Choose a Light Brow Pencil or Shadow
When filling in your brows, use a pencil or shadow that is lighter than your natural brow color {If you are blonde, then choose one shade lighter and if you are brunette, then again use a shade lighter} and fill it in at a 45 degree angle and use light, soft strokes to create a more natural look.

Eyebrow Gel
Using an eyebrow gel is key in keeping your brows looking polished. Brows frame the face and it's important to keep it looking groomed.

Curl your Lashes
Eyelashes flatten as we age, and it's a good idea to curl the lashes. Even if you skip the mascara, curling your lashes will make your eyes look brighter and larger.

Brown Eyeliner
Wear a deep brown eyeliner. Dark brown has the same impact as black but it looks less drastic and it's more subtle.

Eyeshadow with Some Shimmer
A little shimmer in the eyeshadow is flattering when your getting older, as this brings light to the face. A creamy neutral color like champagne or gold is a great option. Don't forget to apply an eyeshadow primer first or get a crease proof eyeshadow.

Lengthening Mascara
Lashes get thinner as we age. Heavy mascara formulas flatten lashes, so instead, look for a lengthening mascara {which is lighter on the lashes} with a thin wand so you can easily coat each lash.

Highlighter
Dab a sheer formula onto the cheekbones. This will add a subtle and youthful glow to your face. A champagne highlighter is perfect for light skin and a golden highlighter is great for medium to dark skin tones.

Do you have any makeup tips for a youthful look?

Have a fabulous day and thank you so much for reading, xo!!

LULU'S // SHOCKS

Top- Lululemon {Old) Similar | Crops- Lululemon Wunder Under Crop | Shoes- Nike Shocks

Happy Monday!

Sunday I was helping my dad move all day which meant I had to dress in something that was going to be very comfortable and something that will stretch, since I was going to be lifting and bending all day. I decided to wear this Lululemon racerback tank that has the most adorable coral frills on the back {cute right}? I then paired it with my Lululemon Wunder Under Crops that are seriously the most comfortable crops that I have ever owned. I could totally live in these crops every single day if I could. If you don't already own a pair of these yet from Lululemon then you should definitely consider buying these, you won't regret it! For shoes, I wore my black and purple Nike Shocks, which are also very comfortable. When I wear these shoes or my other Nike's for that matter, I never get sore feet or a sore back when wearing them and I also never wear socks with them either, which actually makes these shoes even more comfortable, surprisingly.

Do you have a favorite Lululemon outfit or shoes that you love to wear? Leave it in the comments below!

Have a lovely Monday and thank you so much for stopping by, xo!!

GRAPHIC TEE'S + CITRUS REFRESHING FASHION

Today I am teaming up with the gorgeous Meghan from Citrus Refreshing Fashion for a double take on graphic tee/ tank styling. I am absolutely loving the way Meghan has styled her graphic tee. Like seriously, how adorable is her outfit? I love that she went for a more dressy look by pairing the tee with a feminine skirt and adding some adorable heels. Her accessories are also perfect for this girly look.

Graphic tee's/ tanks are such a fun way to add some sass and attitude into an outfit without having to spend a tone of money. They can easily be dressed up or down for any type of look that you are trying to achieve. A graphic tee is also another way of making a bold impression, which I love to do.

Top- Old Navy {Can't find the link} | Jeans- American Eagle {Old} Similar | Shoes- Old Navy | Watch- Guess | Earrings- Pearls |             Sunglasses- Ray Bans | Clutch- Aldo {Old} | Nails- Essie Cute As A Button

I decided to go for more of a casual/ chic look by pairing this graphic tank with some dark {almost black} skinny jeans, black pointy flats and a snake skin clutch to add some sass to the entire outfit. The Ray Bans were the perfect sunglasses to wear with this look also.

How do you like to style a graphic tee or tank?

Be sure to check out Meghan's blog for more fashion tips and advice on graphic tee styling and much more!

THE BASICS

Denim Shirt- Dynamite {Sold Out} | Shorts- American Eagle {Old} Similar | Watch- Guess | Sunglasses- Ray Bans | Shoes- Spring {Old}

I hope you all had a great weekend. Sean and I had so much fun on the weekend up at the trailer. I had a few too many roasted marshmallows and s'mores that night that's for sure! We all went for a long boat ride and found a sand bar where we stopped and put some lawn chairs in the water and soaked up the sun until the sun went down! The boat ride back was incredible as we watched the sunset all the way back to the trailer, it was breathtaking. Weekends like these are my absolute favorite, I definitely don't want summer to end just yet..

Today's outfit is one of my favorite casual "basic" outfits to wear. It's simple, fresh, put together and preppy all at the same time. Being comfortable is a must for me, regardless on what I am wearing and this outfit is seriously so comfy. I usually wear a white bag with this outfit, but I decided to go with my Grey Coach Crossbody Bag {I apologize for not having it in the picture}. I also pair this outfit with a belt majority of the time, but I thought I would skip it.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday and thank you so much for all of your lovely comments, xo!!

 Happy Friday!
Can you believe it's the weekend already? My boyfriend and I are going to a friends trailer this weekend and I am definitely looking forward to roasting some marshmallows, boat rides, swimming, listening to country music and having some much needed drinks!

When I saw these Eyelet shorts on sale I HAD to have them. These shorts are so adorable and with it being navy was also a must buy. Navy and black is a colour combination that I love to pair together. It's classy and feminine and this combination can be worn to any occasion. Of course I paired it with a cognac belt which tops of this classy look and I also paired it with my cognac sandals.

Have a great weekend, and thank you so much for reading, xo!!

MAKEOVER YOUR LOOK WITHOUT SPENDING A PENNY

Today I am going to teach you on how to makeover your look without spending any money doing it. Whenever I feel like I am stuck in the same beauty routine, I just do these simple tricks!

Here are five ways to update and re-fresh your look without spending a penny:

Change Your Part
If you always rock a side swept part, then change it up and part your hair down the middle. Similarly, if you tend to part your hair down the center all the time, then do a deep side part. You will be surprised on how much this changes your look and changes your facial features.

I used to always have my hair parted to one side along with a side bang, but now that I have grown my bangs out, I am parting my hair down the center. If I still want to change things up, I will part my hair to the opposite side that I used to do.

Natural Teeth Whitener
After studying Dental in college, I have learned a lot about teeth and oral health as well as what you should or shouldn't use on your pearly whites. In office whitening is what I typically use to keep my teeth white but a drugstore option is also good as well, but this post is all about not spending a penny right?

Go to your kitchen and look for baking soda and lemon juice. Add the two into a bowl and make a paste, then apply it to your teeth with a toothbrush. Leave it on your teeth for about 5 minutes, then gently brush it off with lukewarm water. Baking soda actually removes stains from tooth enamel while the acid in the lemon juice acts as a bleach. If you typically have sensitive teeth, I would recommend using Sensodyne toothpaste afterwards.

Winged Out Cat Eye
If you are an eyeshadow type of gal, then try a cat eye instead. I used to love wearing eyeshadows to create different looks {which I still do by the way} but I have been resorting to gel liner to create the winged out look the most. You will be surprised on how this updates your entire look.

 Bold Lip
Rocking a bold red, coral or pink lip can have the same effect as the eyes. It adds that extra touch and sophistication to your everyday beauty routine.

 Proper Posture
Sitting and standing up straight and having good posture makes you look more lady like. When I am sitting and standing up straight, I feel more sophisticated, perky and I feel better about myself also. Standing or sitting slouched over just makes you look tired and lazy and no one wants a sore back either.

Do you have any makeover tips that wont cost a penny?

DRESSING IN BRIGHTS

Hey Everyone!

I love wearing bright colours and mixing and matching them. Yes, it's summer and we all tend to dress in these gorgeous summery colours but I have to be honest, when it comes to fall and winter, I still try to incorporate some brightness to my outfits. Dressing in brights or wearing at least one bright piece accessory, whether it's jewelry, scarves or shoes, always makes me feel more cheery rather than feeling drab.

This colour combination is one of my favorites as it reminds me of the tropics. If you read my "Nautical" post, you would know that I am obsessed with anything beachy and Sunday's outfit was beach inspired!

As some of you may already know, Sunday's are my dress down day's and I kept this outfit very simple and mixed lime green and turquoise together. I kept the accessories to a minimum as I didn't feel like wearing a whole lot that day. I wore my pearl earrings and my turquoise bracelet that my mom bought me from Antigua.

I paired these H&M turquoise skinnies {sold out} with this lime green tank that I got from SmartSet {also sold out} and paired it with my beige Old Navy Boat Shoes. If you don't already own a pair of boat shoes, you must get a pair. These shoes are so unbelievably comfortable and I have been wearing them a tone! They are also great for shopping in :)

What two "bright" colours would you pair together?

Have a great day and thanks for reading, xo!!

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD FOUNDATION

Happy Friday!

Let's talk foundation. There is one foundation that I have been using for just over a few years now that I absolutely love. I tend to wear my Origins VitaZing SPF 15 tinted moisturizer majority of the time but when I am going out for an occasion {especially if pictures are being taken} or if I am feeling like I need a little more coverage that day, I will wear the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Foundation.

Okay, so let me just say that this foundation is a-m-a-z-i-n-g and I love the coverage it gives. I don't like foundation that is too heavy and thick as I like to still see my skin and freckles underneath it. It's funny you know, when I was younger I hated my freckles and wished they would disappear but now that I am older, I absolutely love them. Thick foundations only makes my skin breakout and I also find it's a lot harder to remove as well. This foundation doesn't make me breakout AT ALL and it's also a lighter formula which is why I have stuck to this product.

This foundation is oil-free, comes in 26 shades, it's medium to full coverage and it's long wearing. When you apply this, it gives a flawless appearance to your skin, hides imperfections and it can withstand any bright or harsh lighting. You know when you are out with friends and pictures are being taken and you notice your face is white in the pictures due to the flash? Well, this stuff doesn't do that. It truly is amazing how this foundation works!

Before running out and picking up this foundation, get a sample of it first to see if you like it. Foundations are that one makeup product where everyone has their own preferences. I am extremely picky when it comes to foundations and because I really like this one I wanted to do a review on it for all of you. I bought it at my local Sephora and I am shade #120 Soft Sand.

Do you already use MUF HD Foundation and what are your thoughts on it?

Have a lovely weekend, xo!!

MANI AND PEDI POLISH COMBINATIONS

I like to match my polish to my fingers and toes, especially if I am wearing a white polish but usually if I am wearing a specific colour on my fingers, I will make my toes different so it's not so matchy matchy. Although, If I am wearing a light coloured pink on my fingers, then I will go with a dark pink for my toes. I also like to wear two colours that are totally different but also having those two colours compliment each other.

Whether you are matching your mani's and pedi's or not, it's important that the two colours you choose still compliment each other and look good side by side. I love to wear bright colours on my fingers in the summer but sometimes I will wear more of a neutral colour as you don't see the chips as easily. When it comes to the toes, I will always wear a bright or darker colour.

Here are some of my favorite polish combinations!
The left side is Mani's and the right side is Pedi's:

The first combination is Essie's Full Steam Ahead and Dj Play That Song. Like I mentioned above, I like to wear the same colour but in different tones. These two shades are so pretty together.

The second combination is Essie's Ballet Slippers and Bounce It's Me. This is such a classy combination and I love these two colours together. It's great for any occasion.

The third combination is Essie's Canyon Coral and Naughty Nautical. I really love coral and teal together and the two colours compliment each other really well. Think the beach :)

The fourth combination is Essie's Red Nouveau and Bottle Service. Red fingernails and hot pink toes or vice versa are one of my favorite colour combinations. It's so feminine.

The fifth combination is Essie's Mint Candy Apple and Blanc. These two colours are gorgeous together and it's a very clean, polished look. I switch these two colours up as well. I will wear white on the fingers and mint on my toes etc. Let's not forget, white goes with any colour. Lately I have been obsessed with white polish and have been pairing it with a lot of different colours.

If you are still unsure on what shades and tones compliment each other, then think colour wheel:

What are your favorite polish combinations that you tend to pair together? Do tell!

Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping by, xo!!

YOU SAY GOODBYE, I SAY BONJOUR

Hi loves!

I hope you all had a great weekend. My boyfriend Sean and I went to my Aunt's this weekend for a surprise retirement party for my mom. She had no idea we we're having a party for her as she thought we were all there for my Aunt's birthday, which we kinda were. The look on her face was priceless when she found out we were all there to celebrate her retirement. A lot of wine and margarita's was consumed that day let me tell you lol! Sunday, Sean and I went on a road trip in the Jeep and did a little shopping.

Friday I decided to wear my American Eagle shorts which are now on sale {Sorry I couldn't find the link on the site}. I bought these when they were regular price but I went into American Eagle the other day and noticed that these were marked down plus take an additional 50% off. Of course I went home, grabbed my receipt and brought it in to get it adjusted. Ahh, I love the feeling knowing I saved some money and got a great deal, which always makes me a happy girl!

I paired the pink shorts with a graphic tee that I got a few years back, my white Guess watch, OPI Alpine Snow polish and I wore my flip flops {not seen in picture, as I wouldn't dare wear them on my carpet}.

When you buy something and you notice it goes on sale a few weeks later, do you get your bill adjusted?

Have a great day and thank you so much for reading, xo!!

NAUTICAL

Happy Friday!

Navy and white are one of my favorite colour combinations, especially if I am wanting to achieve the "Nautical" look, which I tend to do a lot. I am obsessed with anything beachy and I tend to dress like it. For example, I love to mix and match colours and patterns like turquoise, brown {cognac}, navy, baby blue, red, white and anything striped. You will see these colour combinations and a lot of stripes in some of my up coming nautical posts.

I kept today's outfit to two colours and accessorized it to a minimum, which includes my anchor necklace, pearl earrings and my white Guess watch. I also wore my white Guess handbag {not seen in picture}.

*Yes, that is my cats tail in the first picture lol! If you haven't already noticed, one of them will usually be in at least one of my pictures :)

Top- American Eagle {Sold Out} Similar | Shorts- American Eagle {Old} Similar | Boat Shoes- Old Navy {Sold Out} | Anchor Necklace- Aldo {Old} | Watch- Guess | Nails- OPI Alpine Snow

**I have had a lot of questions on how I did this hairstyle in my last outfit post {Throw A Sweater On It} and a lot of you wanted me to do a post on how to achieve this look. I will definitely do one very soon, so stay tuned! :)

Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for your lovely comments, xo!!
