Lime Chino

Hey Everyone!!

 I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.. Today is a short post as I am super busy today and pretty much this whole week once again! Saturday was so warm that I wore a raspberry coloured cami with my new Chino pants that I got last week. I love these pants so much and they are extremely comfortable. They are so soft and light weight which will be perfect for spring and summer.
I got them in the colour lime which is such a fun colour especially in a pant. Honestly, I can wear any bright coloured top with these pants {in love}..

 *Note: The lighting was not the best in these pictures. {Clearly my face looks super tanned in this picture and the next picture I look super pale} lol...

Pj always sits on the bathroom vanity and watches me get ready every single morning :)

Cami- Smart Set {Can't find the link}/ Necklace- Aldo {old} / Chino Pant- Smart Set
*The "Smart Set" store may just be in Canada only but I am not 100% sure!

Anyways loves, that is all I have for today.
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Thank you so much for following xo...

Do You Remember?

Hi Everyone!!
Over the weekend I went to a few garden centers and did a little shopping at the mall. I have been meaning to go to the mall for some time now and finally went this weekend to specifically pick up this blazer that I am wearing in the picture's below.

If you have previously read my post on "Spring Clothing Wishlist" you know that I wanted this blazer:
Do You Remember?

I finally splurged and decided to buy it. This blazer can be worn with pretty much anything and I love how versatile it really is.

 I love that it has silver zippers on the back of the sleeves and for the front pockets to add that extra touch of detail. There are so many different types of outfits I can wear this blazer with, which made this piece a definite must have!

Blazer- H&M {Can't find the link on the site}/ Top- American Eagle {old}Similar/ Pants- American Eagle {old) Similar

Spring Flowers & A Look..

Spring is one of my favorite season's and I love how everything starts to turn green, the buds on the tree's start to open up and the best part is visiting the garden center's for the first time and coming home with pretty spring flowers.

While growing up, I would always garden with my mom and learn all about the different types of flowers and what flowers are good for certain seasons and the best spots to plant them. I am so fortunate that I had her to teach me everything there is to know about gardening. If it wasn't for my mom I wouldn't have a passion for gardening.

 Yesterday I went to the garden center for the first time with my mom and we picked up some Pansies to put in her urns and in an iron basket that she has hanging on the front of the house. Pansies are one of our favorite spring flowers and they last a long time which I really love.

We decided to get purple and yellow Pansies {The yellow in the flower looks white in these pictures due to the lighting but it is a baby yellow colour}. We usually always incorporate purple and yellow together because to me those two colours together are just so pretty.

My Crocus flowers have finally opened up. These flowers only bloom in the spring and last for a few weeks to a month until the flowers die and then your left with the greenery. I always know spring is here when these pretties have bloomed.

I think today I may head to another garden center and see what I can find. {Note} Every year I will go to at least 10 garden centers/ nursery's throughout the season. All of them carry different stuff and some have their flowers/ plants cheaper than others so why not? I am so excited to start getting my hands in the dirt. :)

Today's Very Casual Look!

Top- Old Navy Here/ Legging's- Target
 *I bought two of these top's a little bigger so I can wear them with legging's

Have a lovely weekend!

Let's Talk Nail Polish...

Hey loves!
I just had my first pedicure of the season this past weekend can I get a "Whoop Whoop." Oh my gosh you guys, spring is finally here and I have been totally wearing my sandals since last Friday!
 Happy Girl right here!!

I don't know about you ladies but every time I wear any type of nail polish brand, my nails will get these white chalky spots on my nails especially on my toes. I know this is probably caused by wearing too much nail polish and my nails can't breath as well as there are a lot of ingredients in "nail polish" that isn't good for our nails which is probably the cause of this problem. I have talked to a few of my friends and family members and some have this problem and some don't.

Which brings me to "butter London Nail Polish.."
I have heard so many good things about this nail polish that I wanted to research about it a little more before purchasing it. I have always wanted to try this brand but the price tag totally turned me off.

Here are the colours that I am currently loving:

Bossy Boots {Opaque Pistachio Green}

 Trout Pout {Opaque Cantaloupe}

 Poole {Opaque robin’s egg blue crème}

Jasper {Opaque bright pastel yellow}

I mean why is this brand so expensive compared to others and what is the "big hype" about this nail polish? I mean its ONLY nail polish!!
Well now I know why..

Did you know that Butter London was one of the first companies to sell non- toxic nail lacquers in the US and its formulated without:
- Formaldehyde
-Parabens
-Sulfates
-Synthetic Fragrances
and much more?!

Now that I know this, I am curious to see if I would get those white chalky spots on my nails now that I know it is formulated without the following above? It totally makes sense as to why my nails were getting like this. A nail polish formulated without the following ingredients above totally wins me over and it would be healthier also!! I think I may bite the bullet and purchase one and see. I do LOVE Essie and OPI nail polishes. They always have the cutest colours and I love the application it gives also. I will still use those nail polishes but if butter London works then my money was well spent.

Do any of you have this problem with these white spots on your nails and have you tried butter London before? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Thanks for following...

 Sincerely Miss Ash

Makeup {Lust List}..

Whenever I go to the malls, I just can't seem to stay out of Sephora or MAC. There is always always something I want when I go into these stores and I always seem to leave there with either a purchase or a tone of samples. My boyfriend always rolls his eyes at me every time I want to go into these stores because he knows I will be in there for hours {no not really} but to him it feels like a life time which I don't blame him at all. We now set a time and meet up afterwards so he can go to his own stores while I am in these specific stores. It works perfectly!!

Makeup {Lust List}:

 Nars Lipstick in Niagara {Satin Pinkish Coral}
This colour will be perfect for Spring/Summer..

 Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Yu {Bright Pink}
Love this colour and it will look so nice once you have a tan

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy {Coral}
I have been wanting this blush for a really long time. There is something about a coral blush on tanned skin that looks absolutely stunning.

Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Underworld {Smoke Grey Pearl/ Deep Blue Grey Pearl}

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
{I have heard great reviews on this and would love to try a sample of it}
*If any of you have tried this let me know your thoughts!!

I also got an E-mail this weekend that Sephora is having a 15% off sale through Sunday April 21 and you can shop as often as you like!

It is very rare that Sephora has these sales and I don't understand why they don't do these more often but I am definitely going to take advantage of it!!

What are your current makeup "wants"??

Have a Great Monday Everyone!

Self-Tanner Review

It's starting to feel a lot like Spring here in Canada. Yesterday's weather was amazing while today's... not so much. Mother Nature is totally not being fair to us this year. I can remember this time last year when I was wearing shorts and flip flops and had packed away all my winter wear in the month of February {That's insanity}.

I have always had bad luck when it came to self-tanners. It would always go on blotchy and uneven, the smell of some were awful or I would turn completely orange and would seriously look like a Oompa Loompa character from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. We have all be there and we have all had to still go to work or school looking like a total freak! I have tried numerous drugstore brands to more of the expensive ones and I had never found the one that I loved until now. I am happy to say that I have FINALLY came across a self-tanner that does NOT make you orange or uneven or that leaves your skin smelling like a chemical afterwards.

Fake Bake Flawless Self-Tanning Liquid with Mitt: This product is a little pricey v.s those drugstore brands but believe me it is totally worth the money. You can either spray your body then use the mitt to rub it into your skin or you can spray the mitt and then apply it to your skin which is what I do. This product is fast drying and it has a tropical coconut scent that smells amazing. It gives great colour and of course the more you apply the darker you will become. The other bonus about this self-tanner is that when you are applying it you can see it going on. So in other words: THERE ARE NO SURPRISES LATER ON LADIES {Bonus}. Remember those self-tanners where you had to impatiently wait to see the colour transform? Ughh that was the worst and not to mention so stressful!

Fake Bake Airbrush Instant Self-Tanning Spray {My Other Favorite Fake Bake Product}:  This product is also amazing but it is applied a little differently. If you are the type that just wants to spray and go and still be "Even" this product is for you. I will use this product when I am in a hurry and don't have time to use the mitt. This product is also fast drying and has a specially designed air shaft that provides a fine mist as a continuous spray that can be used at any angle on the body, especially for those hard to reach areas. The smell of this isn't as nice as the other one but it gives great colour and you can also see the product on your skin while applying.

*Before applying self- tanner, please make sure to exfoliate your body and face. This will prevent any blotchyness that could potentially happen. You can apply either one of these self-tanners daily to achieve the desired colour and it last's for about a week depending on your everyday life. You can also apply this every couple of days to maintain the colour as well.

 I am totally in love with these two self-tanners especially the first one "Flawless with the mitt." I am so happy that I have finally found a product that actually makes me look natural with a touch of a bronzed glow. I wouldn't be writing this review for you ladies if I didn't think this product was enough to rave about! It's simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

What are your favorite self-tanners? Do tell!

Have a lovely weekend everyone....

My Go To Sun Care Products..

It's about that time of year again {depending on where you live} when we start pulling out the sunscreen from our bathroom cupboard and start incorporating it with our daily makeup routine. Now before I go any further I have a confession.

I know I am not the only one here, but I totally use to go to the tanning beds and sun tan outside without sunscreen. I know I know it was a total no no and I cringe every time I talk about it. I don't dare do that now and I actually haven't been to a tanning salon in years and to this day I always always wear sunscreen.

I do have freckles and some moles which usually indicates someone that has "fair skin" which I totally do. My dad is part Irish with fair skin and my mom is 100% French who tans really well. I have a mixture of both my parents skin but I would say more my dads skin which is prone to burning. I can burn very easily but can also tan pretty well.

 I use to only wear sunscreen in the spring/summer months but now that I am being extra cautious with my skin, I really try to prevent as much damage to my skin as possible. I wear sunscreen every single day of the year. Yup 365 days. Of course I don't wear sunscreen on my arms and legs during the winter months {that's just ridiculous}but I do wear it on my face and neck. You may be saying to yourselves "why wear sunscreen in the winter there is no reason to" but actually living in Canada {or any place that gets snow for that matter} the sun's reflection off the snow is enough to give you a sunburn, especially if you enjoy doing winter activities outdoors like me {trust me been there done that}.

Ok enough with all that let's move on to my go to SPF products shall we?

Face:

La Roche-Posay
Anthelios Ultra-fluid Lotion SPF 60

This stuff is absolutely amazing and it is NOT greasy like other sunscreens. It is Fragrance-free, Paraben-free, water resistant and has a matte finish.

 Body:

La Roche-Posay
Anthelios Melt-in Cream for Sensitive Skin SPF 45

Again I really like this brand and the body sunscreen isn't greasy either. It absorbs into a velvety finish and it's fragrance free which I like.

Lips:

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

If any of you have tried this and like it, you will agree that this stuff is amazing!!

 Banana Boat Sport SPF 50 Lip Balm

 When I know I am going to be outside all day especially being around water, I will use this instead of the Fresh Sugar SPF 15 Treatment. Protecting our lips is just as important!

After The Sun:

Banana Boat Soothing Aloe Vera Gel

I love using this after a long day in the sun regardless if I am sunburned or not. I love the smell and the cool refreshing feeling on my skin.

I read an article last year that Aloe Vera can be used to get rid of acne breakouts? I haven't tried it yet since I don't think of it all the time but maybe the next breakout I have I will attempt it. Have any of you heard of this before?

What are your favorite Sun Care products?

I will be doing a post on my go to Self-Tanners coming soon....

Spring Clothing Wishlist...

Hey Everyone!
Since I did a Spring Shoe and Accessories Wishlist I thought I'd might as well do a Spring Clothing Wishlist also!

Spring Clothing
Wishlist

When I am not working I live in my Lululemon clothes. Who say's that Lululemon is just for doing yoga and going to the gym in? I don't know about you but when I am not working and on Sunday's I like to be comfortable and still be fashionable all at the same time... Who doesn't?

The one thing I love about Lululemon is a lot of their pieces can be dressed up. I always wear my "Wunder Under Crops and Pants" with a nice long sweater/ Tee or a Tank with some cute flats.. I realize that Lululemon is expensive but the quality of their clothing just doesn't compare to a lot of "knock off" versions out there. I have a pair of Lululemon pants that I bought 5 years ago and they still look great!

Here is what I am wanting...

What are your favorite clothing items for this spring?

Have a great day and thanks for following!!
